the film cat soup by tatsuo sato is amzing on many levels. the style of animation is very simple but developed, the artist obviously knows what hes doing and the setting and surreal nature of the characters and thier setting really appeal to me. it also features and amazing soundtrack. ive found it hard to research the orogins of the sounds, i guess its a well kept secret but later on in the film a huge ammount of synthisis and electronic noise is added to the more violent moments. this is only one section however. overall the soundscape is well considered, varied and relaxing. really fun to watch and listen too.
